Loar CC Goldtop

Modded in-house by 1929, we've got a The Loar LH-300 built in the style of an old Gibson ES-150 Charlie Christian style guitar. In addition to the Gold Flake paint job on the top, this Loar has been modified to fit a Pete Biltoft CC pickup with a 3-point mount (custom wound to our specs), a hand bound Tortoiseshell Pearloid pickguard and a truss rod cover made by 1929 of course, ES-250 style knobs, CTS pots, orange drop capacitor, and cloth wiring.

How's it sound? Check out the video of 1929er Cameron Knowler running a similarly-built guitar through a recent tweed Fender Blues Jr with all of the tone controls at noon, no tone shaping or effects. Volume and Tone on the guitar at 10.

This is a USED guitar that has been modified. The headstock joint had a crack (not broken off), which I repaired and finished over with clear coat. The small crack lines are visible through the clear, but the repair is solid and permanent. I've tried to show these old crack marks in the photos. The Gold Flake top is pretty well done, and there are some small marks and scuffs around the guitar from normal use over the years.
