Made from real celluloid 1.5mm thick, this new replica Gibson L-48 pickguard is a very close match to the original in this very lush translucent Dark Red Tortoise material. I attach a clear acrylic "spine" to the back of the straight edge of the guard for extra rigidity. This is a replacement pickguard for the Gibson L-48, but it will fit and look great on any 16-inch archtop. The guard measures 9 5/8" long.
I ship my guards undrilled to match all applications. Each guard is fully cut and polished by hand. Tortoiseshell pattern will vary between each guard, but all are cut from the same material.
